You're getting an error launching nlnotes, which is the client not the server. The error that you are describing appears to be related to the user.id of the client. It sounds like the certified public key in the Person document for the user is corrupt. (I'm not 100% sure about that part. The alternative could be that the client is complaining that the server id's parent certificate does not match the user id's parent certificate, which could mean that the server id has been corrupted, but that sounds less likely to me.) I would probably start by re-registering the user id, not by reinstalling the server.
Is this happening for a specific user? Is it happening for all users? Or is it happening when you are trying to launch the client on the same machine as the server?
